MIS is broad based covering every piece of information needed by the Management to make strategic decisions and planning concerning the organisation like organisational structuring,business expansion, budgeting etc. HRIS is more specific relating to HR field and covers manpower data, salary administration,records management, training needs analysis,PMS and other processes.This is how I understand.
