Hi Sugees
I m also working in a garment export house please go through the Factories Act, 1948. For garment industry it will be same as for any other industry. If you want the checklist of annual and half annually returns please search you'll find the same in cite hr.
I m also attaching herewith the list of ESI AND PF forms which was downloaded from this cite sometime back.

Hi Softy,
There is one standard called British Retail Consortium ( BRC). This standard covers 3 aspects quality, safety & legality ( of a product). This standard has different set of requirements for food & non food items. Tesco technical audit is based on BRC standard.
For quality you can follow requirements ISO 9001 , for safety of a product you need to product safety hazard analysis & legality to need to understand legal requirements in the country of manufacturing & also of import.
