Dear All,
I am working in an export house and as per our social audit we must have child labour remediation policy. You are requested to kindly provide me a draft copy of the same. Early response of the same will be highly appreciated.
thanks & regards

You do not require a policy for a mandate provided in law but only maintain records for legal complicance.
Remediation normally referes to remedy offered. If your organization is engaged in Elimination or Eradication of child labour probably you need such policy.

Dear All,
I am working in Export organisation, it during my ETI Social audit last week a Issue was raised of "CHILD REMEDIATION POLICY to be framed" even though we hire adult worker's while appointing them.
A question was raised by auditor - Suppose you had appointed an child labour on fake age declaration and later on found that he is child labour.
What you will do to this, after knowing he is a CHILD worker ?
Pl. advise on the issue.

Dear Members,
Child labour remediation policy refers to what actions the employer proposes to take in case a child labour is found out in his organisation. The SA8000 standard does not require you to summarily ousr the child labour. It expects the employer to say, put the child in part-time school.
There can be many options depending upon the capability and resources.
