Just tell the staff there is going to be a mock fire drill, and that every one is to comply.

It is a simple message, and you do not need others to write it for you. Practice writing memos and emails. If you are going to work in HR you need to know how to do it. Your company is not paying us to do your work.

With the fire drill it is important not to reveal time and date, these things need to be a suprise to work effectively. If staff know ahead of time, they will find reasons to disappear and not participate. They need to know the procedures as it could save their life one day.

Fire drill Requisites -
1)Before conducting the fire drill, it is important to prepare a fire escape floor plan indicating that in the event of fire what is the easiest escape route to come out of building and report to assembly area.
2)A SOP is needed to be prepared for general awarness about escape routes and actions to be taken in the event of fire.
3)A breifing and class room training is required to be conducted towards adherence of the SOPs and spreading awarness about various safety points and fire extinguishers locations and their use.
4)Emergency reaction plan and operations centre like admin control centre and tech control centre and its structure and functions may brought to the notie of the people.
5)Awarness of fire safety doors and fire alaram locations to be made to the people using the premises.
6)All the criticl and important contacts details to be used in emergencies be made available to people/ employees.
7)Various safety codes/ Siren Codes, as applicabe may be escalated to concerned people and departments.
8)Every deaprtment will have one fire marshall supervisor to whom people will report and take instructions on evacuation and emergency situation.
9)All people using the building must ensure that they are well instructed and made aware of about various safety and emergency instructions and actions to be atken in such situation.
10)Having done all the above, the emergency reaction team can plan for mock drill and with short notice with out mentioning the time/ day/ date can conduct the drill.
If the emergency reation plan is not followed, the results of doing mock drill wont be satisfactory.
