Role of CEO in HRD
  • establishing the balance between line managers and HR in their shared ac countability for people management, and
  • having the right service delivery model in HR to allow an or ganisation to get this balance right.
These issues are critical to getting the most from the H R function and people management throughout the organisation - and our experience has shown that policies must be driven by t he CEO and senior management if they are to be successful in the longer term.
CEO involvement
Measuring the value of the HR function and changing the service delivery model will often involve an evaluation of the roles and capabilities of line managers. The function cannot change effectively if line managers are not prepared and trained to b e the focal point for people management. To drive that kind of change is a major organisational initiative which requires lea dership at the most senior level in the organisation.

Dear Sushmita,
As you clearly mentioned that your are fresher, so you need to do, first of all go through all the process, because you need to understand the all the process of your organization, because being a front face of the organization you need to about all the process as you will be the contact person in most of the cases.
So be in touch with HR cite as I am regular user of this, even I leart so many things from this site,I think this is most popular side.
Best Of Luck………
