Hi If you are asking an employee to work on National Holidays, either we need to pay extra one day salary or need to give a comp off. Sometimes both based on state act Rgds Prakash

15th August is a National Holiday and giving them holiday is compulsory if your business requirements needs to have people working then One day ExtraPay or OT has to be Paid or Comp Off has to be provided.

As per law you need to give them a leave on that day, but if you ask them to work based on business or company requirement, you need to give them compensation amount or a comp off in the next 30 days.

Hi,
If the national holiday will comes on any working day, the company should pay that holiday salary. but here in this coming 15th is on sunday, so company will not be responsibleto pay a extra salary of one day.

We don’t need to pay any extra money , as the holiday comes on the Sunday , if the employees are working on Sunday only we need to pay.

Dear all,
In my comp, they consider 12 National Holiday every year. If some of the national holiday falls on weekend then they provide one optional holiday to compensate that, which you can take on ur self preference among all the other occasion(for which comp does nt give official holiday like Ganesh Puja, Holi etc).

Please clear me with example pls. also pls tell me the maximum paid periods for the compensatory holiday which means if employee does not take any leave for any day the compensatory holiday may laps for such. also i am attaching a compensatory holiday register. pls fill it and attach it with example. i shall be very thakful to you all.

No company responsible that 15 th August on sunday no any legal government policy for extra salary .
the condition is that if company requirement for working on this day then company pay OT or C-Off against that day working.
