Please guide me. I have complted LLB from a very reputed University in 2006. I have also completed MBA in Human resource management this year. ANy body tells me about the Job prospects regarding the Legal Hr Executive. I came to know abt that there is very big demand of LegalPersonnel in human resource sector.
I also want to do Master of Social work. whether it will be beneficial for a legal personnel to do master of Social work

In my opinion MSW can enhance your professional qualification/knowledge bar. It helps you to be inducted as welfare officer. It may not help you as legal_HR ,it will help you to work in an organisation where you have to act as a HR-Manager.

Hi Sourabh,

Having completed your LLB and MBA (HRM) you are already very much eligible to handle the HR profile. As per your qualifications, you would be suitable for taking care of Industrial Relations and Statutory Compliances in organisations because most of the legal processes in HRM revolve aroung these issues.

As far as the designation 'Legal HR Executive' is concerned, do not focus much attention to the designation part alone, rather pay attention to the job responsibilities and duties specific to the offered role and match them with your expertise and career aspirations.

There is huge demand of legal-hr combo especially in manufacturing sector.

As far as going for MSW is concerned, you can sure go for higher studies...however I'll suggest that try to gain some experience in your domain first because practical experience counts a lot these days...merely adding on degrees will not help and infact it'll make you more anxious post completion of every course as you'll still be a fresher!

You can always go for a correspondence course while working or go for an executive programme after gaining some hands-on experience in your field.

Keep rocking!

Sourabh, Hi!
I am strongly agree with Miss Neha.
You know Working experience are always better than the Qualification. You should convert whatever you have learned during academic to working experience and after joining the organisation if you feel that there are requirement of further training than you can think about higher studies. I can understand you because I am same as you MBA and Law Graduate and working in MNC. But if you want to go academic or R&D field than you can see towards PHD in management or LLM, whatever will be suitable for you.
But keep in mind that real learning comes only in organisation and in starting phase dont be much choosy in salary only see the profile related to your interest and academic background.
Thanks & Regards
Arbind Modi
