Hi All,
I'm new to this forum but have really earned tremendous experience out of issues and queries related to Human Resources.
I am working for an MNC as HR which is a manufacturing company. I have the desire to develop best HR practices into this Organization.
Recently leadership conducted a workshop on 'Personality Development' for which I've to do the assessment/ evaluation on employees to find out till what extent the improvement has taken place..
I know its not a one day job, but to proceed in the right direction I need help. I would appreciate the suggestions that could help me in this regards. Please help ....
Thank You,

It would help if you had pre-workshop measurement of persons' performance. In the absence of that you can only ask those that attended how useful it was for their present and future work. You could also their superiors whether they have found any change in the in the performance, attitude, etc of those that attended the course.
However, bear in mind that the changes may not be noticed in the short term.
Please search the web to find out how others have approached the task of evaluating such workshops.
Have a nice day.

Dear Mohammed,

I am into the field of training and development for a quite long time.

Whenever I conduct a training programme, I conduct pre-training assessment. On completion of training, I also take from the participants post training action plan to implement the learning and handover it over to HR/Training department.

Just on last Friday I had conducted the training for one manufacturing establishment located at Whitefield. Before conducting the training, I had sent pre-training assessment questionnaire to their managers. After conducting the training programme, I told the participants what change is expected from them and obtained Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) from them. They must show change in their behaviour within three months (maximum). LIP is handed over to the HR department.

You may give me change to conduct the training at your company. If you wish to know about my training activities, you may visit <link outdated-removed> and have a look at my <link outdated-removed> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) .

Thanks,

Hi Dinesh,
First I would like to thank you for putting your inputs, and I'm sure its gonna help me in long run.
I understand that the change cannot be expected in a day or two, but since the training is already over and prior to which I had not conducted pre training assessment.
Ideally now what I feel is to develop a LIP with respect to the Personality Development training and evaluate on timely basis.
Can you please throw some light on what are those critical parameters that can be taken care while measuring the employees performance post training. I appreciate your time in considering my request.
Thank You,
Mohammed Zafar

Hi Simhan,
Thank you very much for your thought. I shall see to that in future I would conduct pretraining assessment before the actual training begins. I would appreciate little more inputs if you have got on post training evaluation, any real time example?
