Hi I am Yukti and am doing Diploma in HRM. As a part of our curriculum I am supposed to make a project. Since I am already working in a pharmaceuticals company I have chosen my topic as Retention strategies in Pharma company. I need your guidance as to how should this project be and what all points need to be covered. I have only 8 days left to submit the project, will I be able to complete it.

Hi,
Best will be to talk to your guide (at company OR at your school) to help you out with study. At the end of day your projecty should benefit the company you are working with (not just that you learn). I suggest following steps:
(1) Start with defining the project objective (research objective)
(2) Define your research methodology (primary research, secondary research etc)
(3) Conduct research
(4) Validate results
(5) Present your results (report , presentation)

Quite late posting a reply... but some of the steps taken by one of the pharma companies in india were [ this i read in my first year in mba]
This is one of the unique things they did [well our director was consultant for them]
Gave higher designation to the sales staff [territory sales officers etc]. that is said to have given the employees some mental block to switching companies [ they won't go for the lower levels even if the salary was slightly higher]

hi every one.am doing my m.pharm in pharma management from dipsar..as part of my curriculum iam supposed to prepare my project..a mini project to be frank...as HR interests me a lot i chose "employee retention techniques".....
