Trust is the vital factor in employment relationship
Is less pay the only reason to quit?
Is your boss the final aithority to increase pay and accept resignations?
Jobs are scarce and any concrete offers received so far?
Take careful decision and simply for pay increase alone do not change mind.
Growth, learing and work atmosphere matters a lot

Dear colleague,
In my view, his written offer and your resignation withdrawal letter has to be at the same time. Request your boss to give you written offer in writing in a week's time and if it is acceptable, withdraw your resignation.

Hi Nath Rao,
Less pay is the one of the reason, besides there is slash of jobs in the company; but im sure they cant lay me off as there is 3 members required in team & i m the only one in Team.
Is your boss the final aithority to increase pay and accept resignations? Yes
Jobs are scarce and any concrete offers received so far? Only one offer, but location is far from the town where my family resides.
Take careful decision and simply for pay increase alone do not change mind.
Growth, learing and work atmosphere matters a lot

Hi Friend
You take a final call, boss trying to retain you because you seem to have proved good in your workz, if you still feel that your career growth is an hindrance, you look out for a better job which assures you of growth and employment guarantee, but make your self sure that you are placed in a fine environment in the new organization.
Wish you all the best.

Dear All,
Recently I heard a case - one of my friend joined into an Educational Institution into Placement Department with a very low pay compared to his industry pay. Over a period of time, he performed very well and he got an another offer in a different City. While he puts down his papers, his Reporting Manager( so called Executive Director, for name sake, no influencing capability) promised him that his salary will be revised and will be promoted during next appraisal. One year passed away, when he saw the appraisal and he came to know a meager amount is changed a 3 K per month. He was shocked and tried telling them about C&B Policy and Re-fitment models etc, but he didn't get what he wants. He was also shocked to know that the institution is run by so called people with very old school of thought like sole proprietor concerns, only believes in a dictatorial way without any logic. Whomever asks or suggests will be forcibly sent out from the organisation. This guy put question to the Management and returned the money with guts, knowingly the repercussions. In this fashion, while withdrawing the resignation, one should understand weather Reporting Manager has any authority, or influencing capability so that you can avoid disappointment in future.
