Hi
I saw the comments on appraisal grievances only today hence the delay in responding.
1. This is pertaining a workman where it is difficult to make big distinction. Generally in the organisation, we dont disclose the rating to workmen but they will come to know of this with the increments they get. Union will represent. I have in a particular case was convinced about the Supervisors rating It took some time and made the worker and supoervisor to sit alonwith the union officebearers. The supervisor was very good and the questions he posed to the workmen were relevent and the workman agreed that he has to improve his performance. I must appreciate the exccellent job done by this gentleman in this case
2. Appraisal grievance amongst Executives are very common. Only counselling will help. I dont claim to have done much in this area as we really can not solve the problem.
Openness is the only solution for resolving appraisal grievances
