I was employed with a Private sector Bank where my employer's contribution of provident fund was contributed to pension fund. As per 1995 pension rules all bank employees under IBA pay scale are having compulsory pension. As per the directives of the law we didn't have option of taking employers contribution in the provident fund, hence the contribution has been since directed to pension fund.
I left the bank after 4 years and 11 months of service. Now when I am asking about the bank's contribution, they replied that as I have not completed minimum years of service for pension eligibility they cannot provide me the employers contribution. They gave back only my contribution of provident fund without any employer's contribution.
My question is can I claim the money?

Hi,
I think, it is true that unless you complete continous service of ten years in any establishment, you will not be eligible for pension.
Another thing is, whatever contrbution/fund you have received it must be your own contribution and employers contribution. In case withdrawal of normally two types of forms are submitted to PF office. One is Form 19 for employee contribution and form 10C for employer contribution.
Kindly confirm with your Enforcement Officer.

Dear Sir,
This is regarding employers contribution to pension fund , under act 1995, .
First of all, you have to confirm whether your company is depositing your total contribution. i,e your own share and employer's share. It is of no means that you have completed 10 yrs of service. You are able to withdraw your pf contribution with both the accounts i,e from pf contribuition as well pension contribution. The essential element is your have to serve to company for more than six month.
For withdrawl of pension amount you have to submit your duly signed form 10 -c to the concerned pf department.
kindly process to submit form 10 -c and approach to your local pf department.
