Please find the online activation process for UAN under the EPF Scheme. The UAN activation can be done by the employees themselves. Please find the process in this regard.

Dear Members,
In addition to "UAN Activation" by employees themselves; EPFO has also introduced a feature / facility for PROSPECTIVE / NEW EMPLOYEES to generate UAN themselves (Direct UAN Allotment to Any Citizen)
The basic feature is:
A) The new employee / prospective employee generates his own UAN based on AADHAAR (on the employee portal)
B) This UAN can be produced to the new employer for enrolling him in PF
The notification & Screen shots are attached for reference.

Dear Members,
Further to above, EPFO has also come out with a circular "Pension-1/17(10)2016-17/Jeevan Parman/23945 dated 26 Mar 18", where in initial enrollment to EPS 1995 can be done even WITHOUT AADHAAR (off line process).
I presume this can also be used for UAN generation for individuals who do not have AADHAAR.
I am unable to upload the circular, will try and upload later.
Regards,
Arun
