First mostly B.E from Electrical are the eople most given reference and highly paid then some other housekeeping staff are also considered after years of service.
Secondly there is no any proffessional course for facility manager in india

Facility Managers require knowledge of purchase and inventory management also. Recently, I conducted the training programme for one facility management company who has presence across India.
They were fascinated. Though all along they had worked in facilities, they never knew how to generate profits through inventory control.

Yes you are right the up untill today there were no professional courses for FM's but AIFM ( Alliance of Infrastructure and facility managers) have a course designed for FM i:e MBA in Facility Mgnt.
I urge all of you and your associates to join our LinkedIn Groups by the name Alliance of Infrastructure and facility managers... AIFM has changed the FM perspective and given altogther new look to FM's.
As Mr Chandrashekar already highlighted that he wanted to do Specialisation in facility management to upgrade my skills...AIFM also has specialized training session conducted for FM...SIX SIGMA in FM.
