Dear All, I have around 5+ Years of experience in IT-Recruitments and at present am working with a reputed mid level software firm. At this point of time i want to shift/change from recruitments to more challenging roles. As per my knowledge & experience i don;t see huge career growth in recruitments. By qualification am a B.Tech graduate.
- Should i go for MBA from reputed institutions?
- Should i go for Distance MBA?
- Should i shift from HR to any another stream?
- Should i pursue a software application like SAP HR?
Request all the seniors to suggest me the path to take over.
Sincere Thanks,
Pramod.

Well, doing MBA in HR and SAP HR would be definitely beneficial to you and doing MBA from reputed one will be sure add value for MBA. After, finishing those, you can try for the HR functions which you find more challenging.

Dear Mr. Pramod,

This isn't the first, many a times we find it difficult to suggest anything when we see a query such as this, as there is not enough data, to give you something leads that can enable you think further about a career as only you are the best judge of what you will want for yourself.

Apart from qualifications one needs to know if there is an aptitude for a job.

To a make a good career in human resources, you need a combination of education and experience. The level of education required depends on the position that you are applying for.

I would suggest you follow these links to basically get an understanding and feel of what the jobs look like,

Going through this you will get leads to several other aspects of HR which is absolutely essential for your career.

Finally your query, " Should I pursue software application like SAP HR?" I have known many cases in the past, people do SAP Modules and struggle to get opeings as they do not have hand-on experience, and you will never gain experience unless you get an opening, so it's a typical case like, "which came first, the chicken or the egg," or "egg or the chicken."
