HI there,
Just a brief on planning training for an organization.
• Most of these plans are done during December for the coming year
• Hence they make an assumption on when the training might run but most of the time they are free to move the dates back and forth.
• Unless there are a training providing organizations then its difficult to schedule training courses in a calendar
• Most of the time scheduled training programs are for the In house training
Please find attached a training calendar for a small organization

I am a 1st yr MBA HR. Joined training...they have offered two projects- one of making a training calendar, beginning with competency mapping and so on. And the other is making an induction manual. Which one should I take?

Hi there,
I would like to add to my above reply which was to breif & would like to attach the document missed To pull together a training calendar usually most training calendars are used for in-house training programs, Once you have determined what are the training programs to be conducted for the organization you spread the programs through out the year, you can run up to 3 programs a month through out the year.
You can always use training needs analysis as a basis to determine what are the programs to be conducted in the organization and as you conduct the training for this year you can always plan for the same program for next year.
On the other hand there are programs that have to be run continuously every year for employees soft skills such as,
•Motivation
•Business communication
•Code of Ethics
•Safety & security programs
•Defensive driving
•Time management
•Presentation skills
•Report writing
•Different MS Office program beginners, intermediate & professional level
All the best
