Dear Jayanaf,
You can do a survey among employees in your company and get to know what all is lacking in your organisation and what employees are expecting.
It will tell you the reason of employee dissatisfaction.

Also do talk with the managers and understand why the motivation levels of the employees is so low.
If the attrition rate is high, understand the trigger for the employees to get demotivated.

Dear Jayana
New to the company,if you have concluded that empoyee is unhappy due to employer, pl. donot bell the cat.
seek some external agencies'help to make a report & submitt to the employer.if better sense prevails, then things may improve a bit else change your job in your own interest as it is my experience that the bottle neck is always on the top(of the bottle) & if attitude doesn't change on top, solution is to choose the top than to change him

Is there poor job performance among the dissatisfied employees?
Do not mistake dissatisfied employees for unproductive employees.
What is the attrition rate for the dissatisfied employees?
What is the company wide turnover or attrition rate?

Suresh is absolutely right. Many times, the top management is not keen to own the problem and to solve it. In such case, the person who tries to do honest efforts ends up in trouble. - Dhananjay

Jayana,

Just few points i want to add on this:-

1. Do not just think of moving on -- till the time you have tried your best.

2. First try and analyse whether managers are aware about the present state of mind of their employees in organization.

3. If they know then are they fine with this

4. If they are not aware ----then are they willing to know and take some action on it.

5.Another imp point --- are these dissatified employees are productive ---this ques was asked by someone else also---it is very much important as NO employer or manager will be ready to spend time and money on employees who are not productive.

6. If you got all these answers --- then began with the process to get this problem rectified.

7. First of all prepare a feedback form for the employees and get that filled up by them, and then compile the data and analyse what all are key components for their dissatisfaction.

After all these you yourself will got to know What you need to do now? if not then we all are here to support you in getting this issue resolved, as such it is a common tension with most of the HR people in the organization.

If you plan to move also you are not sure what kind of work culture you will be having in the next organization.

All the Best & Keep up the Good Work.

Hi Jayana,
I agree with monica..
This will give you a right direction to move on step by step..
Its a very good initiative taken by you to improve the morale of the dissatisfied employees in organisation which will actually lead into positive results.
