Well coming to topic..
1. Conduct organization study and study Attrition trend chart..
2.Look at the positions where in attrition is more..
3.Analysis How is the work environment..
4.Have a look at on Recruiting process, benefits, training, career plan, appraisal.
5.Conduct a Sastification survey..
6.Analyze Exit Interview data..
7.By that time you will be able to know, the root cause of the problem..
8.And suggest recommendations on how to reduce the Attrition rate..
9.By using Competency approach to HRM ie Competency based R & S , T & D, career planning etc...
These are some general steps may not be in line...
This may help you..If you want i try provide you data in a aligned way..

It's Better to do project by using a Questionnaire on Attrition rate..As your project is on Industry...If you do it one company it will not help..
If your synopsis is like "Attrition Management in XYZ company" then it was bit easer for you to Work because here you are concenrating only on one company
But as your project is on IT Industry...What you can do is, Prepare a Questionnaire circulate to some of the company employees..Get it back.. Plot the graph give the reading...And suggestion...
If you have any provision to change the synopsis, I suggest, just only suggestion, You better change it to company, then that would be easer for to work on project....
Think of it, and can you please tell why you took this subject..

You understood it right. my project is a part of my mba. though we have not got a deadline yet and therefore i am going very slow :wink: but yes i do spend time to read more in order to make my project. the biggest problem that i am facing is if at alli make a questionaire where would i go to get it filled....? because i have not got a job yet and moreover w=no company is giivng me permision to speak to their employes for this work :oops: so there i am a bit confused as to how to go about it.

2. This will be little bit harder to do.. But some of my friends did it..
What you can do is during the company leisure time ( during Lunch ) they will come out of the company, at that time you have to approach them and get from filled. But i don't know whether you can do it..
3. You have to do the research work by using secondary data from journals, newspapers, mazine etc..But it's like reinventing the wheel..
Think of it as you have time.. Its only a suggestion as per my knowledge.
