That was really funny! How many of these did u receive or how many did u apply in your own case?
Most of the leaves that we use are based on genuine purposes...however, sometimes, when one cannot rationalize the reason to the boss, we tell them what is rationally accepted by all. But do you think its really necessary to give / cite a reason for leave? I think, it shoud be just given, as the employee has the right to certain days off. Then, why are we increasing the paper work and wasting time of boss, us , and the record keepers by indulging in such practices?

Yes I dont give reasons and I dont insist on reasons
If it is Medical leave, I just say I am not well.
Casual leave... simply say "I have some personal work to attend to"
Earned Leave... 'I am going to my native place or I am going on a vacation with family...((Say with my family.......)

I think no need to write huge formal application, just email to boss that" i m on leave from XX date to XX date. & dont forget to invite him (boss) on your marriage with the Invitation Card.
