Hello, I am a consultant doctor working in a private hospital in Uttar Pradesh.

Over here they are giving 15 days CL to the consultants working 8 hours, and 11 days to consultants working for 6 hours.
No additional leaves are given, except one weekly off and govt. holidays.

On applying for leaves 'sandwich rule' is applied if a Sunday falls between two offs.

Also! if you apply for a LEAVE ON SATURDAY, you resume work on Monday, they will count my Sunday as a leave (example: if I applied for leave on 6/08/2022-Saturday, 7/08/2022 was a Sunday, i came to work on 8/8/2022-Monday --> they count 7/8/2022 as an leave)

I need guidance on what leave protocol the hospital should have for consultant doctors both part-time and full-time. Is there any 'Govt. Act' that i can refer to?

Please clarify the concept of 'consultant'.
Do you mean they are not employees of the hospital but are on call and paid professional fees or per operation / patient fee?
Or are they paid a share of fees collected from the patient?

If they are not employees, then all depends on the contract you sign with the hospital.
if they are employees, then Shop & Establishment Act and Standing Orders will apply, unless your state specifically excludes hospitals from the list
