If an employee has been sanctioned Leave without pay for a period of one year and the LOP is inbetween a Financial Year, is it mandatory to generate '0' Pay Slip only reflecting the statutory deductions made in that financial year?
Thank you all in advance

Vidya,
Generating pay slips in itself is a health practice, regardless of the fact that employees need it or not. I would recommend continuing with the practice to avoid creating a precedence or exception, in an endeavor to maintain internal controls for risk mitigation. Your internal audit team will be happy to see a consistent policy being adhered to.

As mentioned by Raajesharya it is a good practice to generate payslip with 0 attendance, but since there is no salary I hope there will not be any statutory deduction too.
