Hi,
I have a question related to Earned Leave EL ( or Privilege leave PL) during probation period.
As far my knowledge goes PL accumulates during probation period. Only this is we cannot take it on paper. But by some approval companies allows leave during probation also.
Now as per one of the big company leaves will not be accumulated during probation. This will start accumulating after the probation period. Please confirm on this

Dear bsd,
Statutorily, even if an employee is on probation, CL / SL can be extended to the extent they are eligible. As for EL / PL, it is upto the company to either give or not.
Hope this clarifies your query.

Please go through the leave rules of your organization for actual status as the practice vary from organization to organization.
In my organization Earned leaves and Half Pay Leaves would get accumulated during probation period on a six monthly basis (11 EL -encashable, 4 -non encashable & 10 HPL) however the probationers are not entitled for leave encashment.
Thanks
