Please let the seniors know as to what is confusing you with regard to the process for long term settlement. A settlement is a settlement. There is no separate process for long term settlement. Is it required to understand any practical issue that has bearing on the process of long term settlement which you have undertaken as HR? or is it required for academic purpose? or for a preparing for any interview?.However the comprehensive discussions held in the past on the subject may also address your confusion, I trust.

Dear friend,
There can't be any process flow chrt with prefixed sequence of actions. It's a process of negotiations between the two parties, concept selling ability of the management so as to convence the other party. At the most you can collect data about recent agreements with similar industries in the region, what is the buget allowed by top management & what would be finacial burden if certain demand amount is accepted.
