Dear Kamlesh,
First of all I would like to inform you that, you cannot terminate the services of an employee just by saying that he / she had done theft. First you have to prove that. You can suspend such employee till the charges not proven. During suspension period, you have to pay suspension allowance to such employee. Meanwhile, you have to conduct a domestic enquiry against such employee, which will be headed by an external investigator. The enquiry will be attended by both the parties and only after getting the result from the enquiry, the decision can be taken.

Hope this will help you.

Hello kamlesh
I do not know how big or how small your organisation is and whether it has well documented servcie conditions/servcie rules/ standing orders specifically delaing with disciplinary issues. Notwithstanding that,it is not safe to terminate an employee summarily by a stroke of pen for theft as such terminations are termed punitive when an employee raises a dispute. It is advisbale to follow procedure suggested by Mr.B.C Arya.
