Dear Mr. Amar
Wages as self explanatory word is such as Dehadi, which means per day earning to be paid called wages which is applicable for daily basis worker while Salary is to be paid monthly basis which is not being calculated such as wages rate. Minimum wages rates are declaring by the govt. time to time for skilled, unskilled worker & semi skilled worker which is the base of calculation. So, it z very clear wages is for daily payment basis and salary is for monthly payment basis.

Dear,
It is just like the difference between Workman and Employee.
The meaning of both the words is same but the use are different.
Example:
If you ask your Production Manager, Sir, is your wage credited to your account, it will not look good.
You should ask, Sir, is your salary credited to your account.
Like that
If you ask a sweeper who works for few daye in a month, Hello, do you need any clarification regarding your working days and salary, it will not look good.
You should ask, Hello, do you nee any clarification regarding your working days and wage.
Generally, those attendance and salary has been calculated in Monthly basis that can be said Salary and those attendance and salary has been calculating on daily basis that can be said Wage.
Does not matter, whether you are paying them physically daily or monthly. The procedure of calculation makes the difference.

No where in the POW Act it is said that the Act is for workmen .Actually it is for 'employed persons' getting wages /salary up to Rs18000/-.The definition of wages in the POW Act includes salary also.It is also wrong that MW are fixed for workmen. There are states who have fixed MW for managers also.
