Good evening Everyone, I wanted to know about Performance Appraisal. I know it theoretical but not practical. For example - if I have to conduct a 360 degree PA then should I fill up a feedback questionnaire from family members, superiors, peers, friends, customers? Is it possible for production floor employees?
Kindly revert back I am a bit confused?

360 degree PA requires feedback from Superiors, Peers and the Client (vry imp). So that it covers all area from where different opinion can be collected.

Hi,
You need draft a questionaire depend on profile. That will be online or offline.
Example:
Suppose X is there. You need to take his assessment from his boss, subordinates, peer, customers.
Customer openion is not applicable to every department.
Thanks,

Hi Mili,
Thanks a lot for reply.
But saperate questionnaire should be designed for each one or same one?
also, one big consideration is that, suppose there are 200 employees so for each employee four or five questionnaire shall be designed then it becomes survey of 500 people, is it not lengthy/hectic process? so how can we say 360 pa is convenient.

Mam,
So how can we compare between 360 degree PA and MBO?
I think that, for small scale, MBO is convenient than 360 degree.
Also it will be very thankfull for me if you could provide any practical example for practical implementation of 360 PA.
Thanking You,

Sir,
Pl. draft 5 common worthful questions.5 would be relevant to profile.pl. try to draft as much as simple for your success. For technical people it's very difficult to understand.pl. draft like that your aim should be solved easily.
Thanks,
mili

Dear Bittu
Please find attached a note on the same; it has answers for most of your queries.
Pl. note feedback proves effective only and only if there is conducive culture and environment.
It requires Org, culture of Trust, Openness, Transparency, Meritocracy, Positivity and Communication.
Other critical aspect is skills of administrator; a novice may harm the organization, if does not aware about pros and cons of administering such tools.
