I have that within one month time period I will resign from company where I served for 18 years.What formalities and precaution should I take for make smooth exit?

Hello Mr. Kulkarni,
* Please provide handover in Written format each every file,documents and confidential documents if any.
* Take clearance certificate from each concern departments.
* Ask your HR Department to take your Exit interview and other formalities.
* Tell your management in advance that you are ready to help the company in any matters after relieving and gain confidence from management.
