Dear all, Wanted your thoughts and suggestions on possible ways of conducting Exit interview for an employee during this lock down period where in the employee is doing WFH and so is HR (Myself). Are there any specific policies w.r.t this? though the exit interview and form filling can be done remotely through internet but withdrawal of company assets such as laptop and id cards it a challenge .
Do provide your inputs or suggestions at the earliest please.

First thing is try nd tell employee to defer his exit till lockdown is over.
As far as assets of the company are concerned, employee is also equally responsible to return items before final exit.
You will have to get written clearance of team manager of the employee that nothing is pending and intellectual property if any is safeguarded.
Exit interviews can be on phone or internet.
Conditional clearance can be given if higher management agrees, since company assets are with employee.
Best will be if some employee is staying nearby can takeover company ID and laptop.(physical distancing and safety precautions to be observed.
I am sure employee will understand if his exit is deffered till lockdown is officially lifted.

Ya Managers clearance and intellectual property are manageable and under control. Withholding of F&F till company assets are recovered/received is one area i am thinking into and equally allowing the fellow employee near by to collect and assets for time being.
