Hi,
I Think EPF Act is now regulated in J&k. But it may be for those companies having HO in J&K. By my opinion you have to deduct PF for employing in J&K Zone. But is it is better to check with any legal authority such as APFC or RPFC
Best Regards

Boss;
In Jammu and Kashmir Pension Component is not present. Secondly organisations already complying EPF act outside J AND K and now opening up operations in J AND K can continue to do so subject to getting of certification from Complying P.F. Office that contribution is been deposited at their office this certification would have to be desposited with P.F. authorities. J AND K.
When NOC is received from J AND K you shall have to submit administration charges to P.F. Authorities on monthly basis and maintain all compliance records which can be inspected by J AND K Authorities any time.
Thank You;
Sandeep

Dear
The contribution is 8.33% on Basic + Da if applicable (employee + employer share), Administration Charges (5% of Total Contribution) + EDLI (1% of Total PF able Wages).
(12% contribution is allowed)
The max ceiling is Rs 10000/- for the contribution and voluntary contribution can be added on.
The companies operating thru J&K should have their PF accounts as it is best practice as per legal compliance, this will help company from any inspector ill remarks and many comanies has started applying and contributing at J&K.

In Jammu and Kashmir there is another PF act and scheme is applicable called The Jammu and Kashmir Employees Provident Fund Act, 1961 and Scheme 1961.
every establishment who had 10 or more Employees need to get PF code. (w.e.f 25 Oct 12)
Pension contribution is included in the scheme.
12% from employee and Employer is to be deducted and submitted.
