Hello Evereyone,

Find the below query of my brother and kindly give us a suggestion, what to be done now. he is very upset PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Help

I attend the TCS interview on 6th January 2012. I have passed all the rounds. The first round was Aptitude test (written test), the second round was the H.R round with “Sudeshna” after clearing 2nd round she told 3rd round will be held on 9th January 2012. I reach the TCS for my third round interview. The 3rd round was typing test after completing my typing test round she told wait for the 4th round. The 4th round was the M.R round I don’t know the MR name she told me about the process its Mortgage Banking process and wait for the result. After some time H.R (SUDESHNA) came and told me you are selected for the job and came on 10th January for the pre-joining formalities. I also filled the pre-joining formalities on 10th January and after that again H.R told, you will get the offer letter by mail or we will call you.

So I resigned from my office and waiting for the offer letter. After 38 days getting no response from TCS I reached again the TCS and met with Sudeshna and told that I filled the pre-joining formalities on 10th January and waiting for the offer letter she replied me “we have no vacany at this time” I told her madam already I have already resigned from my job,but she is not responding...Iam in very bad condition.

Dear Ms. Shazia Firdose,
1) What i felt was, your friend shouldn't have resigned from your job unless and until you have received OFFER LETTER either soft or hard copy.
2) He haven't responded wisely because he failed to analyze things associated with future.
I can't say anything about these MNC'S because, its not the company who failed to recruit him but, it is the unethical/unprofessional employee who failed to FOLLOW a STRATEGIC SYSTEM, may be because, there is no one monitoring her WORK and at times, it happen in such MNC's.
If he wants to escalate to the higher level in TCS, please go ahead. Remember to communicate and please focus on your situation and problem, and nothing else. May be, he'll get a better job some where else. He should not loose hope and must try try until he succeeds.
With profound regards

Thank you so much for your reply.
I agree with your quoted points, it would have been really better,if he hasn't resigned from his services, before getting any confirmation. Even after me telling him so many times he did not listen.
I wud like to escalate this issue to the higher level in TCS.
I am in banking field, i am not aware about the policy and the procedures of HR.
I feel you are the better person to ask for assistance..i wl be very thankful to you, if u cud spare sum time for us.
Plz help us, with the mail format to take the issue further.
Thanking You,
Regards,
Shazia Firdose

Dear Ms. Shazia Firdose,
1) Kindly identify the employee at higher level and secure his contact details, for addressing the concern with relevant DOCUMENTS.
2) Seek an appointment from him to discuss the issue along with submission of the letter.
3) Your friend must be clear about the communication he had with recruiter. It is advisable to have RECORDED INFORMATION/DOCUMENTS supporting his issue, seeking JUSTICE.
4) The information posted in your thread, can be utilized for drafting a letter.
Kindly send me a test email, will mail you the draft copy.
With profound regards

Dear Shazia ,
Here's my suggestion: Offer roll backs are not always declared which is why the applicant find themselves in this position. Ask your friend to apply for other jobs and waste no time for them. There can be several reasons for this kind of a mishap, but this is not the time to brain storm on that.
Escalating may and may not yield any result. However, it would remain essential to take a written feedback through email on this. It would remain a point of reference for any future job opportunity , if at all applied.
Any other option such as requesting for a similar role in other business units might take a lot of time. Your friend needs to join a job first and then try out these time-consuming options with the firm in question.
I have mailed an HR in this firm, hoping to hear from them.

Dear Shazia,

In today's world what ever you say orally will not be accepted unless everything is documented.

Moreover unless you dont get a offer letter from a company he should have not resigned from the present company.

Moreover, TCS is a company which go for a detailed back ground verification. What if the feedback collected is wrong about your brother. Also why your brother has not kept in touch with the HR till 38 days.

Without knowing his joining date, Not getting the offer letter from the company how can a person resign from the job.

As some member suggested Even you escalate to the top management, HR knows how to face the problem or make it clear to the management.

But your brother is the sufferer so ask him to look for the job immediately. Even in the next interview the employer will only ask the question why he left the job without offer letter which he has to answer.

past is past.

So ask him to think positive and attend the interview and get the job as soon as possible.
