KISS is the principle you have followed hence easy to understand. To tell you frankly you have stated the obvious but we do sometimes miss that in our complex HR processes. Regards UG

Thanks Mr.Reddy for your nice thoughts.

Notwithstanding, though these are copy book principles yet in practice many firms however small or big adopt various methods which are mostly unethical, but still the entreprenuers say for improving their business. To quote some of those -

1. Not implementing EPF provisions (rampant)

2. Not extending ESI benefits (rampant)

3. Not extending regular/permissible leave days (rampant)

4. Many firms not even allow weekly offs regularly

5. Legal minimum wages are not adhered to (rampant)

6. Disparity between male & female workers

7. Absence of gratuity & bonus

8. Absence of due compensation in case of accidents/sickness &c.

These are very fundamental principles, many firms, which I have seen/come across, are not implementing in their business practices, leave alone hosting pizza lunch, picnics etc. Truly many, many & very many firms fail to pay wages/salary regularly due to whatsoever reasons may be. Such firms are running successfully, despite strict labour regulations existing in our country.

Still, I respect employers' right to extract work from their respective employees in whatever ethical manners, but it is painsome to see just benefits are denied by many firms for the sake of furthering their business.

Others may indicate their views.
