I need your support and help.
When an organsation is not covered under ESI , it is covered under Employees Compensation Act. My query is
1) What is Workman compensation policy?
2) What other salient features a mediclaim policy should have other than the workman's compensation policy?
3) Should an organisation go for insurance plan for worker as well as his family members???
Please help.....

Your querry is not clear .
If your organisation is not covered under ESI then it is covered under
Workmen compensation act . If an organisation is covered under
ESI act WCA is merged in it.
In case of ESI even the workers family members are covered.
Apart from this companies have other insurance schemes like
group insurance/family insurance for the workers .

Our organisation comes under WC Act. we are in process of getting insurance policy for our employees. I want to know that what shall we look for in the insurance policy. WC Act clearly speaks about disablement of limbs, eyesight and occupational diseases. Our Managmeent wants to know which are the other things that need to be covered in the policy.
ESI gives medical and sickness facilities to family members also. So to be in line with the same , shall we go for medical insurance of family members also??
Please advise.

ESI is applicable upto 15000 salary .So the employees who are upto 15k
their families are also covered.ESI covers everything i think if ESI
is there NO other policy is required .
But for employees drawing above 15k you can go mediclaim policy which covers hospitalisation,medicine ,accident etc .
