hi salary is calculated based of the total working days of the month
means the salay would b counted as
The amount * present days/ total working days = net salary
if the amount is of 10000/- present days are 25 days, then the calculator would be
10,000*25/28=8,928 (the month of Feb 28 )
with regards,

  • What has prompted you to shift from calendar days (30/31 days) system to Actual Working days system? There must be some benefits either to employer or employee. You have to reproduce same in communication.
  • According to me, there is less benefit to employee under new system, in case of Absence or Leave Without Pay, since you are reducing Denominator. But in communication you may convey that, new system is introduced to discourage Absenteeism and Leaves Without Pay.
  • In general, I am against your new system, which is not fair to employees.

Also, can they count Festivals, public holidays and national holidays as Non Working and Non payable days and reduce the denominator further?? In this case working days and days payable will keep changing and in the month with more holidays, an employee has to bear more loss if there is an LOP!.
What if the company is not considering national holidays as 'days payable' to keep the denominator low? Is that legal? This company has less than 20 employees by the way and they take advantage of many exemptions being small company...
Can somebody please guide with legal citation.
This is urgent.
Thanks.

Hi!
As a HR person I guess our role is to create a feeling of satisfacation, pride among the employees and not to increase the rate of attrition and turnover. In first place you need to understand this new changes are they going to have the impact that you are looking for or will it increase the abseentism, rather attrition I would say. You need to understand why there is high rate of abseentism in your organisation and how you can reduce the same.
You can take help of various agencies who can help you resolve the issue.

Sulakshana
