Many organization used to say this as Employee Engagement,Employee Satisfaction,Employee opinion,Orgnisation climate survey, This concept goes under organisation development . Employee engagenment checks wheather the employees working for that organisation are satisfied with their job ,Are ther any problems ,check conflicts,check the grievence,Check the organisation need from staff,What are the expectations from both side Employee & Management.Best method that you may follow is Questionary Method

An Employee Engagement Manager is more like knowing each an every pulse of your employee.
Main 1) surveys 2) feedback/meetings 3) implemettation of roles/change etc.... Its a cycle (like pms). Its very challenging and exciting.
companies are going in for EEM as no one wants to outsource it to companies like hewitt, gallop etc.....(where they charge huge amounts plus the same can be done by an external team).
