Pursue your carreer in your core area, i.e. B.E. MBA is an added advantage. Growth prospects in HR field for Engg professionals is very minimal. regards R.Ponraj

Dear Borntosin
I thank about HR your knowledge is limited to recruitment and payroll only , that is why you are telling "Even 10th pass can do HR job,if he/she has some common sense and basic english skill".
My Dear Friend cite hr is the best place for you to enhance your knowledge about HR , you haven't herad about HCL's Employee First policy ??
In today's scenario HR has got too much Importance and HR is fast becoming stategic partner
Having an additional Degree i.e. BE would always help , engineering is not just a degree but it makes you learn logical thinking .....so its not a wastage of money

Dear Borntosin

you are right that HR never bagged multidollar contract , but if HR is working properly in a company company can get many such contracts. And its true that HR doesn't show any tengibal benifits but can give you enormous intangible ones .You can get HCL employee first at

HCL Technologies - Employee First, Customer Second

'Employees First' is gaining world wide recognition - It is now a case study at the Harvard Business School.

And you must understand that HR is the most imp function since it is dealing with Human Being who have made

rocketscience filled with complex mathematical calculations and empirical formulas and who bring billion dollar contract ......

And human being runs rocket and not opposite .....And by googling you can find out how HR is helping comapnies to grow , if you don't recruit and retain right talent how will you grow .

if your employees are not emotionally attached to your organization how would you win ??????

HR does all this for the organization
