Hello yaseer,
1) One of the main reason for which companies conduct Induction programs is - TO MAKE THEM AWARE OF THE COMPANY AND ITS CORE STANDARS.
2) A detailed explanation about all types of policies related to leaves, health, working condictions, core standards, SOPs[Standard Operating Procedures] and related things are discussed.
3) by the end of the program, an employee is aware of the things required before he could actually start his work.
Please let me know if you need something else.
Thank You

Dear Yaseer,
Induction training is one of the powerful means of shaping the organisation culture. In addition to what Mr Reddy has mentioned, in induction training following is also discussed:
a) Organisation's vision
b) Organisation's mission
c) Organisation's business objectives
d) Company history with brief about leadership
e) Achievements by the company
f) Company's organisation chart with the position of the individual.
It is induction training that shape's employee attitude. Because of induction training employees are conveyed:
g) over here what is important
h) over here what is valued/respected/rewarded
In few companies, induction training is conducted just for a day or two. A company like Infosys (software giant of India) spends about 2 weeks for induction training.
In induction training newly joined employees are also taught methods of internal and external communication, business etiquette, how to use HRIS and so on.
Ok...
