hi priya,
well as per training...it depends upon the job profile......
like in some job u require onjob training ,in som u require off job...
this also depend as per cadre.... like for fresher u will try to teach them the current requirement 1st.....
so 1st see wat ur org requires than decide...abt training manual ...
coz time period also depent on the job .......

hi
in short, induction refers to the introduction to new employees to all departments, their activities, location, policies, rules and regulations of the company etc.,
Training refers to giving training on their job profile or in the department an employee joined. if you want to prepare manual on induction training, you may refer to the website called, www.businessballs.com, where you can find the detailed list of induction training checklist. take a printout and modify according to your company and elaborate all the contents.

Hi priyanka,
Induction means you welcome the new entrant into your organization; where you give awareness about the company policy; job profile; meeting the staff etc. while training means you try to hone the skills of an individual be it on the job skills or off- the job skills. Induction and training are both different aspects.... but very important in HRD context.

Hi Priyanka,

As far as i understand ur query, find below the list that can be a part of the Manual:

1) A brief intro on your company working techonolgy areas

2) The diversified technology platform on which your company works.

3) The purpose & scope of training

4) The need for Training, depending upon the Cader & skills set.

5) A brief on the technology that is common across the organisation.

6) If available, the expertise areas of various trainers in your company

7) The futuristic view on kind of projects coming in that any top management can identify.

8) This can also include various out-sourcing opportunities for training programs if the specific area trainers are not available with your company.

Outside these are the specific project oriented training that can be on-job or that can be provided few days before the commensement of the projects.

These are some of the areas which i felt can be included.

Go thro' & let me know if this could help you & if any further info reqd on the same.

Regards,

Abhi
