Dear Chamu,
I think you can go ahead with your idea of dress code as mentioned by you. Allowing females to wear Corgo on Kurta or Salwar tops will not make much of a difference, because only few of them might do this on some of the days. More over we dont have any dress code in legal terms, its all that we do it to have certain kind of discipline in the working environment.
I would suggest make formals for first four days and friday/saturday can be casuals if your people do work 6 days a week.
Hope this is will help you to come to certain conculsion. Let us know what is your final decision.

Think of Dress code………………………..it is followed almost everywhere……………………
Right from school children with their set of ironed school uniforms, hair neatly combed, shoes polished , nails trimmed ……………..to the doctors in their white aprons…. ..the lawyers in their black gowns…………..the nurses………the air hostesses………………the waiters……………the factory workers…………
Forget the rest……………….Now even at social parties people keep a dress code & theme
Dress choice is a matter of personal discretion, then why is this Dress Code being imposed on us.
Because…………….somewhere your appearance is related to professionalism.
First impression counts. A professional consultant who doesn’t take the time to maintain a professional appearance presents the image of not being able to perform adequately on the job. This professional dress code is codified because many professionals have never been taught appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
Professional dress code standards are alive-and-well in major financial and executive management and anyone who aspires to top management knows that your personal appearance counts.
If you look and behave like a highly-trained and well-groomed professional you will win the respect and honor of our valued clients.A fresh haircut, spit-shined shoes and a crisp suit go a long way in establishing a professional demeanor. It's also about quality; most professionals can spot a cheap suit at twenty paces and high-quality dress shoes are de-rigueur. Your professional attire creates a professional environment and will have an impact upon Company’s image.

Suit them up!
Too many organizations are actually suffering losses in productivity as an indirect but noticeable connection between dress codes and bottom line profits. The purveyors of business casual clothing would have you believe otherwise, however this just isn't the case; casual ANYTHING in a professional office is unacceptable. Therefore, both women and men should be suited for service!
Men:
Business suit.
Long sleeve pressed dress shirt.
Tie. Cinched. Always.
Formal dress shoes.
DARK dress socks.
Women:
Business suit; preferably skirted, but tailored pant suits can be minimum acceptable attire.
Business dresses; well constructed and tailored.
Hosiery.
Dress pumps; heels of at least 2" in height, but no more than 3".
All:
Colors should be subdued and professional!
That's it. Discipline will breed productivity, so slip those arms into navy sleeves, those feet into some polished shoes, and impress the hell out of your clients.
