Dear Colleagues,
I have just moved into UK on a HSMP visa and am looking out for HR jobs in UK. I have about 2 years of work exp and am an MBA in HR. I solicit your advice on any HR websites i should visit to update myself of UK HR laws and policies. It would be wonderful if you could also advice on any HR openings in UK. Is a CIPD qualification a must for a HR job here?? Your comments will be of a great value add to me..

Hi all,
It does take time to find HR jobs in the UK as they consider this area more generic and would prefer locals as they percieve them to have a better understanding of the local laws compared to us indians..but be at it cuz there are many HR jobs which are in the offing.. besides you might have to start from the bottom of the hierarchy..
cheers

Dear Neerav
I think a CIPD would defently beof help in finding a suitable placement in HR in UK.
With CIPD......the standards itself will make you upto the level of the locals in terms of understanding of local regulations.
Cheers

Hi Ankita!!
If i am not wrong you are expected to be a cipd qualified. Well, they might consider your profile at times. Priority is given to the ones who are cipd qualified.
In any case if you find even a hr related job at a executive/ground level please go ahead for it as a work experience in the UK is taken into consideration as well. However, this is my opinion on my experiences and learnings in UK.
Thanks,
Yashica
