Dear Sunny,
i really appreciate for your openness.and all seniors for their valuable information.
with reference to the above discussions i would strongly go with rutuja,
just ask your previous employer about Experience letter mentioning DOJ and DOL.
those details gets you a new job.....
good luck Sunny

It is good to know that you feel shame in what you have done. There will be no issue of relieving letter. You can use your experience letter or good thing is that you must talk to the management once again and feel sorry for what you did?

Experience letter is good enough. Just make sure they mark your joining and separation date on the experience letter. If any HR in your new company asks about relieving letter just tell them that they gave it to you and you cant find it. Tell them that your separation date is clear on experience letter and hence its clarified. Just be confident while presenting your documents and it should do the job.

Regarding ref checks, no organization of minimum repute would try to screw a person's career by releasing info as such in your case. I know a person who was involved in a financial fraud in a fortune 500 company and now is working with another big company. Ref checks will always be positive if you get an experience letter, unless its a company with very few employees and the MD has a personal grudge on you. They wont issue any such letter to prove employment if it weren't to help your career.

Bid a professional goodbye to every person who you think could be of help to you in future.

Just be sure to get the date of separation printed on your experience letter!!

The Slapping at work place is treated as Misconduct and even punishable under IPC. First you have to check with Local police station whether any case is registered against you!. Because the management may make a move in such a way !.
Coming to your joining in next job, most of the IT concerns are making reference check and you may caught into that!.
Third is The employment bond will get broken, once you should get releivel order from them not like expereinece certificate.
This is my views please.
All the very best fro your future endeavours.

Sunny,
Slapping is though criminal offence, it was justified. relieve letter is to ensure that your no more in service with a company so that you will not involve in dual employment. Otherwise experience certificate is the main aspect. However request your employer to allow you submitting resignation letter & to relieve immediately. If not, leave it & chase opening with Exp certificate. Try to manage with new company HR either by disclosing the fact or by treating him back door
