dear All,
As per factories act, the maximum limit of working hrs is 9 hrs in aday & 48 hrs in aweek.However ,it can be exceeded with the previous approval of chief inspector in order to facilitate shift change.

What is Working hours of the Employee, if the Worker will work continuously work for 12 hours in 7 days, is his violates labour laws. and what action by the labour court to that company. please clarify sir.

hey friends,
i am an shift engineer working in tree shift basis. i am forced to work in {1st week and 3th week} or[2 nd week and 4 th week} in night shift that is 14 days per month . there is any rules to break the method . this is fully management force.

Dear Seniours.
Please let me know, if company is enforcing to their staff to carry out the works 12 hours in a day or night shift. And also company insisting to their employees in matter of sunday working at least six hours.
And also company is paying salary to their staffs on the every month of 25th.
In that case what our labour laws helps us.
I am waiting for your valuable reply or feedback.

I have a basic doubt. If an employee comes in the first shift (6 am - 2 pm) and continues in the second shift (2 pm - 10 pm), is it in violation of the daily working hours provision under Factories Act?

Please clafrify if a retailing showroom has to work on national holiday 26 January, 15 August and 2nd October what all permissions and from whom to be obtained by employer.
