there are lots of information to be gathered and filled in departments forms, service span, present salary basic and gross, reason of death , death certificate ESIC/EPFO accounts present status, and their validation with aadhaar, KYC update in both the departments
fist of all the family has to visit the panel doctor of ESIC/ Local dispensary and seek forms for claim of funeral expenses, get it signed by employer and submit for claim
if there are minor children of employee enrolled in the card, then esic will issue next form for claim of compensation, if no minor child, then ESIC is limited up to medical and funeral costs only
under EPFO, form 20, form 10D and form 5 IF has to be submitted with requisite documents (documents mentioned on the form itself) by the registered nominee, if KYC and e nomination is done then it would go smooth way
