There is no restriction but better to have as minimal as possible, however you will have a contractor for security, Engineering services like AC & refrigeration, house keeping, loading & unloading, transport, painting, Canteen, civil etc.,

It is better to have a single Contractor / Agency - with separate PF & ESI numbers, who could take single Contractor Licence for various activities and be responsible for all legal compliance in the engagement of contract labour in the Company. If necessary, separate sub-contractors may be engaged through the main Contractor. The advantages are - Company need not go for amendment when new Contractors are appointed or change in the particulars of Regn Certificate, Company could engage good sub-contractors who may not have PF & ESI code numbers etc.,
