Dear Sir.. In a recent amendment done to our Medi Claim policy states that "employee has to be active employee and not resigned. Once the employee puts in his resignation, the employee can’t claim his hospitalization expenses for any admission after the resignation date nor he can claim cashless facility for self, spouse, kids and for his dependent parents".. Im serving notice period of 3 months and still an employee of that organization, kindly advice whether this is as per Labour Laws/ Workmen Compensation Act. Thanks

there is no link between mediclaim and workmen (employee) compensation policy. mediclaim policy taken by company for extending some welfare benefits. whether you are eligible for benefits during your notice period or not is a call taken by your employer.
