Hi All, I am working in a new establishment in HR Department and we want to Insured our employees by any insurance either ESIC or Group Mediclaim Policy. I am having a confusion regarding ESIC is that, If i will not contribute to words the ESIC of below 22000 salaried employees and take a Group Mediclaim policy for All employees employees what are the statutory problems i am going to face in future..... all are requested to help me to finalising the way...

If you want to remain within legal requirements & not go overboard, then cover employees under ESI. Those whose salary is above ESI limits can be covered under Employee Compensation Policy from any general insurance company. On doing this you legally secure your company from any legal liabilities, should they arise. Mediclaim policy does not suffice legal obligations & as such may be done away with.

Dear Susant,
Each employee working in a factory or establishment has to be covered either through ESIC or Employee Compensation or Workmen Compensation Policy.
If something wrong happens HR would be questioned by the Management only, so cover all of them.
