Hanan Mohsan
Need a memo asking to stop playing games on PC in the office during working hours

Dear Hanan Moshan,

Who is playing the games on the computer? I mean to say what is the designation of the employees?

If a few employees are playing the games on the computer then how come it has gone unnoticed by the HoD or the Reporting Manager of the employees? Why did they not warn the erring employees?

If the employees have to play the games on the computer then it could portend that they may not have sufficient work. They have some disposable time. Therefore, the right thing is to do workload analysis and find out who has surplus time.

Rather than volunteering to learn some new skills if employees prefer spending time playing computer games then it shows that they lack a learning attitude. Therefore, the situation merits promoting a culture of learning. Self-learning is the best means of personal development. Promote the importance of personal development.

You have raised a post for the draft of the memo. However, unless there is clarity on the situation, it would be difficult to provide a draft of the memo. Therefore, providing complete information about what is happening in your company.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
