The instructions issued by the Central Government under the DMA,2005 hold good for every spell of lock down announce by the State due to Covid-19. The affected workmen are entitled to wages.

There is NO way that salary should be deducted like this now - just to suit business interests and goals. As far as COVID-19 pandemic is concerned - it really doesn't alter anything and salary structures are going to be same as originally agreed with you at the time of your hiring. It is illegal to deduct/ withhold salary like this.
Please seek your local Labour Union inputs and counselling - if there is an unwarranted deduction/ withholding of salary like this.

Salary, in full or in parts, paying or not paying etc during the lockdown periods imposed from time to time as notified by central/state govts. still remains inclusive. Even the Supreme Court did not pass final judgment. In interim, there is no directions to employers to pay on the basis of notifications/guidelines issued by these govts. irrespective of whether units really worked or shut. It's been left to employers & employees to discuss for a mutually agreed propositions. As such there is no hope of getting paid for those days employees didn't work during lockdown. With no work turned out, no sales & no revenue, unless govts come out with financial assistance it's difficult for entities to pay up.
