Dear Sir, I just wanted to know rights of an ex employee for visiting premises or company owned store after he/she has left the Job, Is that any store manager or company can ban to ex employee for visiting at that place, in any condition, i think its a property of a Company and being a outlet of Tata Group of Company, they cannot ban anyone to visit at that place.

Every place of business where products are sold or services or rendered to the general public is a public place. Therefore, any one who intends to do some business transaction as a consumer cannot be denied entry into the premises unless his behaviour is violent or he is under an inebriated condition. Such a person happened to be an ex-employee cannot be a valid reason to ban his entry into the store owned by the employer.

Dear Anikta Tripathi.
If the Store Manager has prohibited the entry of the ex-employee then did you check why he imposed a ban on the entry of the ex-employee? Why did the employee leave the company? Was it a normal separation or it has some negative connotation?
If the Store Manager does not wish any ex-employee in his/her store then he/she put a case to the HR and while separation itself, the employee should be told clearly for how many months/years he/she cannot visit the store. It would bring clarity.
Nevertheless, ex-employee can be a customer also and company authorities cannot impose a ban on his/her visit unless there are compelling reasons to do so.
Thanks,
