Dear Experts,
Query: One of our female employee expired. Her husband and two child's are receiving pension.
Husband pension amount :- 2176
Child's pension amount :-554 (each)
Please let me know on what basis above pension amount is derived.
In superannuation or retirement pension case PF applies formula: Pensionable Salary x Pensionable Service / 70.
For death case pension, any formula or how it is computed?
Details of case:
Employee span of service : 4 years 2 months
Basic: 4615
age: 36
Please share your assured opinion.
Thanks in advance.

The husband is not entitled for pension in general as he is not "dependent" his amount may have been derived from some other account also
however for exact reply to query please visit PRO or discuss the issue who filled the death claim form and form 2A (revised)

Thanks US Sharma for reply,
- After marriage only spouse is dependent and eligible for pension though parents are surviving.
- Pf don't disclose pension computation.
So i have raise the query in this forum.
Thanks
Please reply if anyone knows perfect answer.

dependent has a wide description, and for any working person or self employed it is not applicable, assumed that the pension in husband hand is as a legal guardian to the minor child/s
minor sons are eligible for pension upto 25 of age, and minimum pension should be 1000/- provided the form 2A was filed correctly
upto 3 persons the pension is eligible, with subject to 1000/- minimum but if the form 2A was filed wrong than they keep ceiling of 1000 and allow marginal upside
