When it is mutually agreed for service of one more week, the buy out has also to be of same duration. However, you have signed agreement for two month notice period, so if you are able to go out with one week notice, consider yourself lucky.

Collect the email where they have asked to serve more 1 month, then you can email to the same saying "I have to join in my new company on dated : ....... as per the email above I am ready to pay 1 week notice"..
Thats' it

Dear Friend,
As per your posting you have signed an agreement in later date with your employer where terms is 2 month notice. In your case, the notice period two month not one month. As your management wants to continue for one more week, this should be considered by you in open heart.
If you denied to their request, they may not issue you release letter, which may be a problem for you. Now you are to decide how to move. You also can request to management, if they can consider with good heart. In my opinion there should be a peaceful exit..
